I'm hoping all parents have seen the news sent home regarding the white t shirts for the Friendship Jam. We will be painting them with bright colors for the performance. The "Jam" will happen on June 19, at 930. After the friendship, the parents are invited back to the classroom to share some of the students work and have a cookie.

Another Great Day in 2J !!
The Discovery Museum of Acton came to second grade today. Our presentation was given by Miss Stella. There were several exciting experiments with liquid nitrogen and dry ice. The take away was that molecules that are cold contract or are closer together. If heat is added, the molecules become further apart.

PHEW!
I feel as if we are finally getting into a pattern again.
Today we wound up module 4 in Eureka Math. The kids have made a "foldable" of four of our most used strategies. Have them explain them to you. They really are becoming experts in Math.
In Reading , we are working with Nonfiction text features. If you are reading any nonfiction with your child, please point out headings, sub headings, glossaries and tables of contents.
We are writing about nonfiction topics. We are using graphic organizers and identifying main idea and details. Also, review Fact and Opinion with them.
